Files disappearing, even though I didn't delete them
I had some video files disappear about a year ago and was sure I didn’t delete them but assumed maybe I did.
Now, I find a bunch of my audio files are gone. There’s literally nothing in multiple folders I was using.
Could this be due to me using a free account that racked up decent space from multiple referrals?
I’m absolutely positive I didn’t delete the files this time. Does Dropbox delete files on its own after a certain amount of time? These were all old demos I kept on hand and now appear to be gone forever.
Any ideas on what might be happening here?
Hi d_d0g
Dropbox doesnt delete things on its own, no, it also doesnt even delete if you are over quota.
Can you look at www.dropbox.com/events and see what it shows about those files?

It only goes back so many months. If I'd have known about that link previously, it would've solved the case I'm sure. Thanks for showing me that option.
