Hello, I had a free Dropbox account and I tried to access it again but all the files I had has disappeared. How can I recover the files?
When I try to contact staff from Dropbox, I'm asked to pay for a pro account to be able to file a ticket, is this normal? And if I pay for a pro account and I file a ticket is anyone able to help me around this issue?
Thank you in advance!
Hi Vivi70, if the account wasn't accessed for more than a year, then it would've been deactivated due to inactivity.
This means that it wouldn't be possible to recover the account or the files within. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter.

When was the last time that you accessed the account? If the account was idle for more than a year then it would have been deleted due to inactivity and you're now signed in to a new, empty account. If your Events page has no activity on it, this is most likely the case.
Thank you. Yes, probably more than a year ago...
Is there any way I can recover the files?
