I have two Dropbox folders in the CloudStorage folder on Mac OS, which is live?
Good morning, I need confirmation before proceeding with a deletion. Within the Library > CloudStorage folder on my Mac, I've found a duplicate Dropbox folder. One appears to be current, while the other seems to be an old version from last year. Before removing it, I'd like to make sure my assumption is correct. Could you please assist me with this?
I've attached a screenshot for reference.
As far as I recall, it could be a system copy created by Dropbox during the time there was an issue after updating to macOS Sonoma. Remember when Dropbox couldn't sync properly? We had to log out and then log back in to resolve it. I'm concerned this might be an old remnant from that period.
Thank you.
Yes, you should be safe to delete that folder without affecting any of your files in Dropbox cloudres

Hi cloudres, thanks for posting today!
Since the Dropbox folder can only be called 'Dropbox', 'Dropbox (Personal)' or 'Dropbox [Business team name]', the correct folder should be the one with the blue Dropbox icon on it.
You can confirm this be seeing which of those two folders have the sync icons on them, confirming that files are syncing to your account. You can also check this out in the Dropbox desktop application preferences page.
If you need any further assistance, please let me know!

With the newly taken screenshot in hand, could you confirm that I can safely delete that copy made by Dropbox, which, as stated in the previous screenshot, has been unchanged since November 2023?
