If I'm moving a file from folder to folder, is it leaving behind a cloud copy?
I bought my first new MacBook in seven years and am seeing new behaviors in DropBox. I could be mistaken, but it seems as though a file I moved from one folder to another in my Finder DropBox folder, left me with two files - one in the new location that is local and seemingly another in the old location that's only in the cloud (marked by that cloud icon). Is there a blanket setting I can use such that all files should always be local as well as being shared to the Cloud? (And not leave behind duplicates)
new MB is Sonoma 14.6 DropBox 2024 v 208.4.5824
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Paul D.4, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
There shouldn't be any copies left behind when moving a file from one folder to another.
How are you moving the file exactly, and is this to another folder in your Dropbox folder, or outside the Dropbox folder?
Do you have the same behavior when moving a file from outside the Dropbox folder to another location?
Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!
