Hello Sergef, thanks for reaching out!

When your Dropbox account is full, you can still access your files, but they can't be synced while over the space limit.

Are you having trouble with the accessing the files from your desktop Dropbox folder?

Please let me know a little more info about this, like if you're receiving any errors.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

by Dropbox is full and locked.  I don't see my files.  I want to transfer all of them to my other account that I pay for with more storage.  I read about linking/transferring but nothing happened because I don't see my files.  Can you explain this and help me transfer one account into another?

Hey tmillman, could you clarify what you mean your Dropbox is full and locked?

Could you send us a screenshot of what's troubling you so that we can have a visual too?

As for merging your accounts, you can have a look here.

I hope this helps and please keep us posted!

Hey Geneal - sorry to jump in here, but could you provide some additional information about the issue you're facing?

If you have a screenshot that would help, please feel free to include one in your next reply.

I got this email today, similar to ones I've been getting for a long time:

        Hi **bleep**,

URGENT: Your Dropbox is full and is no longer syncing files. You've reached the limits of your current plan. New files will only be accessible locally until you get more space.

Here's access to up to 3 TB (3,000 GB) of space.

I don't want to upgrade my account. I want to identify and retrieve files in my dropbox in order to make more room. So I went to dropbox.com, and all I see is:

Looks like you’re out of space

Upgrade now to keep adding files and sharing content

with a list of upgrade options. I don't see any way to even see what files are in there, much less retrieve them. How do I do that?

And this forum won't even allow me to post my name. That's why it says **bleep*.

Hey Liv Julie Sordal, welcome to our Community.

You shouldn't have issues accessing your account and your files, even if your account is over its quota.

Can you try from this page, to see if you can access your files?

Thank you, Hannah! I had the same problem, and was able to see my Dropbox contents from the website you included!

I have not attempted to use my Drop Box Basic Plan for >2 years.

I am now wanting to use DB on my new laptop.

DB reports my DB is full.

I have DB installed on my phone & laptop.

How do I access the data in my DB account to delete data and unshare some files/folders?

Hey Marcos989A, thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community!

Even if your account is full, if you're able to login to your account, you can still access your files from the "all files" page on dropbox.com.

Can you try and let me know how it goes?

    Hi,

I have a basic plan and the storage has gone slightly over - I don't want to pay for an upgrade I just want to move some stuff out so it stays within it's limit.

But it doesn't give me that option - just keeps telling me to upgrade to a subscription - anyone know how I accesss my account and move some stuff out please?

Hi there, JStar, thanks for reaching out to us.

Are you currently logged in to the Dropbox account in question?

If so, you should be able to access your files from your "all files" page, in order to delete them.

      I hope this helps!
