File request option when right-clicking a file on macOS is no longer available

This issue has been reported previously on the following link but is now closed to any further responses.

This is an important feature that has been removed without notice or explanation.

I have tried to post the hyperlink to the previous discussion, but you are not allowing this either.

Please provide an update.

Regards

Robert

Hey Robbie Mac, thanks for reaching out to us today.

We really appreciate your feedback on this.

At this time there's no update we can provide.

You can still create your files requests online, but your comments and sentiment on this are very important to us and the team has been made aware.

If there's anything else we can help with, let us know.

This was a devastating feature to remove. I used file request every day for work. Adding the step of using the web platform is incredibly inefficient.

It's starting to feel like dropbox is downgrading it's features on OSX actually. First the insanely useful "sync next" button from the dropdown menu goes missing, and now file request is missing? I'm seriously considering migrating cloud storage providers on account of this downturn in services.

The removal of the request files option on MacOS is perplexing and hurts customers. My law office utilized the request files ability daily.

I would also like to express my frustration with this (along with "Request Signature") being removed from the right-click menu.

Please bring this feature back! One of the main market differentiators for DB is ease of use and this feature is (was) right at the top of the list of things I point to when chatting with my Onedrive/Sharepoint friends. This decision weakens DB's battlecard.

Totally agree.  we have been considering transitioning to Box and this may be the final straw.
