Job reached maximum retry attempts
When I try to upload a PDF in gmail, I get error "Job reached maximum retry attempts".
How I can fix it?
Hey all,
Quick update on this. We've made some changes on our side that should improve the success rate for saving files to your Dropbox via the Gmail Chrome addin. The underlying cause behind the degradation in performance appears to be caused by an issue with attachment links that Gmail is providing us, so we've reached out to them to try and resolve this fully.
As always, once I have more information to share I'll loop back here with an update!

- MarkSuper User IIWhat steps are you using to upload?
- jolkadreExplorer | Level 4
- Open e-mail (gmail, chrome) with pdf in attach
- On pdf document i take button “save to dropbox”
- I choose folder and push “save”
- Gmail says: job reached maximum retry attempts
- MarkSuper User IIHave you tried https://www.dropbox.com/help/sign-in/enable-dropbox-for-gmail ?
It may be worth disabling and re-enabling.

My dropbox is no longer syncing with my Gmail account. I keep getting the error "Job reached maximum retry attempts" I have tried deleting the extension and reinstalling it a couple of times, but it's still not working. Is there anyone that can help me with this? I rely on this for my business.
- MarkSuper User III'd suggest you both log a ticket:
www.dropbox.com/support to do that
http://dropbox.zendesk.com to track. Replies, however, may take a few days.- Dallas645Helpful | Level 5

the same problem on the phone. In the Android app, the save button disappeared
- NorahDropbox StaffA screenshot of the error message: “Maximum job attempts reached” while you try to add attachments to your Dropbox from your email would be very helpful.Regarding the “Save button” you are referring to, have you tried right clicking on the attachment and then Save it?Looking forward to your reply!

I have a Gmail email account and recently got the dropbox feature where I am supposed to be able to just share it from the email into a dropbox file, but I keep getting the "Job reached maximum retry attempts" error. It will do it on smaller things (like one thing) but if there are multiple items it gives me the error. Please advise!

I always get emails with attached documents and I click on the Dropbox, open box icon, and hit save to proper files. They do not SAVE and give message "Job reached maximum retry attempts."

I am having the very same issue, beginning just a couple of days ago after using the plugin for over a year. Tried the clearing the cache and cookies, updated my version of Chrome, uninstalled and reinstalled the Dropbox for Gmail app...still not working. Has this issue been resolved? Please share. Thanks!

- dspNew member | Level 2I've tried deleting and reinstalling Chrome with all cache and cookies deleted. The problem became so annoying that I switched to using Mydrive rather than dropbox. Too busy to spend hours solving this obviously growing problem.

Has there been any resolution to this issue. I continue to have no ability to open Gmail, select an attachment, select SAVE TO DROPBOX. I receive the message "saving to Dropbox" then "Maximum retry attempts" message. Nothing was saved.

Hello, Cleanliving...
Are you referring to trying to Login to your Dropbox account unsuccessfully? If so, you can click here to reset your password.
If above isn't of any help to you, then we need more specifics so we can better assist you.
