Dropbox "full" with just 800MB of data?

Hello,

I have been using dropbox for more than 10 years now but lately it is making troubles I do not understand.

My free account has (had?) an increased storage of 5.25GB since I invited many people to join Dropbox in my student time and got rewarded with some additional space.

However lately my Dropbox shows me that I have almost run out of storage, although the total size of my data on the harddisk is less than 800MB by now.

The account shows that I use up 5.12 of my 5.25GB and I should upgrade.

Where can I find those "hidden" 4.8GB of used space and free it again.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Best regards,

Thomas
