Suddenly used 1,100% of my allowed space
I have 16 gb of space earned by referrals. I had 7.6 gb of data stored. I kept receiving threatening messages I had suddenly used 1,100% of my allowed space. I repeatedly confirmed that I had on 7.6 gb stored. Dropbox suddenly denied me access to my data unless I upgraded to a larger storage plan. Can anyone help or explain what has happened and why
- YES… I found it. you are correct… operator error. All is well. Thanks to all of you shepherding this error and cleanup. So happy to have Dropbox functioning again. Thanks again

Have you looked to see if you accidentally set up Backups?
- wasting-timeHelpful | Level 6How do I see the folders and files that Dropbox says represents 1100% of my earned 16.2gb of space? I can’t cleanup the problem if I can’t see what Dropbox is causing the problem.
- wasting-timeHelpful | Level 6I see 172gb of “backups”… how do I delete these, whatever they are….

Hi wasting-time, have you tried these steps to delete your backups on your account?
