2017 iMac Ventura stuck in "connecting components" after trying to upgrade to new file system
I was prompted to upgrade to the new file system, so I did. It said it would take 5 minutes...
I've tried re-installing so many times. Deleting the library application support folder, deleting the app. My files are not on my computer and now i have no dropbox folder. It just says "Connecting Components" permanently.
Please help!
After messing around for a long time, I fixed it. At least I can use old school dropbox since I can see the option on my preferences to update to File Provider again but I may not touch it.
All I did was go to dropbox.com, went to my account and checked on my devices that were synced to dropbox and trashed the computer that wasn't working. That made dropbox restart and sync correctly. I still can't sync my epub files for some reason —which is how I ended up with this problem in the first place— but at least all my other files work mostly ok.

Also, if I open the app from Applications, I get this:
