After using the Apple Migration Assistant, I ended up with two Dropbox folders.
I have used Apple's Migration Assistant to move all my content from one Mac to a new Mac. I keep all of my Dropbox files on my computer, so all my Dropbox files are transferred to the new Mac. Now Dr...

Thanks, but I checked that right away - no selective sync. I have now manually recreated my full Dropbox folder. For some reason, the "Dropbox (Old)" that Dropbox created contained more files than the new Dropbox folder Dropbox created and synced to my account on the web.
It was be nice if Dropbox would include instructions and advice on using Apple's Migration Assistant with Dropbox.

Unfortunately, no. I didn't know advanced install was a option, and Dropbox automatically renamed my existing Dropbox folder and created a new folder. It took much of the night, but I have a second Dropbox folder now. Any suggestions on the best way to proceed now that I have two folders?

Hey fortinne. Is the Dropbox app currently up to date?
What you can do now is pause the Dropbox app’s syncing, consolidate everything into one Dropbox folder (the one that’s currently syncing to your online Dropbox account) and then, resume syncing again.

What has happened is after I resumed Dropbox is that I have two folders, "Dropbox" and "Dropbox (Old)." I cannot copy all the "Old" files to the new folder for some unknown reason (they had been all on my hard drive). However, the new Dropbox folder is not downloading everything from the Dropbox on the web either. Don’t know how to fix this mess without a painful, long copying one by one.
Any suggestions?

Hey fortinne, when you say that the new Dropbox folder doesn't download your content from the web, would you mind clarifying the app's exact syncing status?
Is it updated, or still syncing content? Is it possible that you've applied your selective sync settings in such way to ignore some folders from syncing?
