Can't move the dropbox folder; stuck in user mode (C) (Windows)

Hey guys,

I thought I'd give it a shot and ask the community about this since the support just told me things I had already found on the internet that did not work for me. Yesterday I replaced one of my hard drives, the one on which I had installed Dropbox. It was named "G" so it had nothing to do with user preferences. Before I did that I de-installed Dropbox from my computer. So far so good, I then replaced my hard drive, did the usual initialization process and it all worked fine. Then I re-downloaded the Dropbox setup and installed it. But now in advanced settings, there was just mc c-partition available, more precisely my user profile and nothing else even though my user profile has admin rights and is the only profile on my computer. I'm now stuck in my user profile and can't move the Dropbox folder. There is just no option to click on anything else. Super weird.

Apologies if the terminology seems a bit off, my computer is set up in German.

Thanks for posting on our forum, @Roman Andor Krotil

Other than that, can you let me know a bit more about your hard drive's setup? I understand that it's an internal drive on your computer and not an external one, correct?

Did you set it up exactly the same way as before?

If you can also send me a screenshot of what you see when going to your "Advanced settings" link, that'd be great.

Let me know when you're ready.

Hey Nancy, thanks for getting back to me. It might be easier to get the issue sorted in English.

I'd like to transfer the Dropbox files to one of my internal drives but that's already a step too far because none of my internal drives actually show up in the first place. In Advanced Settings I can only choose my user profile and any folder attributed to it (desktop, pictures, documents, etc) during the installation process. Once the app is installed, navigating to settings and clicking on "move" the result will be the same: I just have my user profile to choose from and no other hard drive whatsoever.

I've never had any problems like this with any other application.

Hey Roman Andor Krotil - sorry to jump in here.

Could you try unplugging your external drive and re-plugging it to your computer?

If you do and the issue persists, please send us a screenshot of the options you get when you follow these steps
