Hi, I'm an engineer at dropbox looking into this.
I think what's actually happened is that we moved this from an experimental beta feature (some users in beta get the feature) to being released and available for everyone.
That means that we may have enabled the feature for some computers which did not have the feature previously. Sorry for the inconvenience from the second round of disables you're having to do, though!
If you've disabled it on any specific computer you remember, and seen it again, please let me know. We definitely would want to fix that.

I am also having this issue :(
I don't want to be asked so I clicked on "do not show these messages" and 5 minutes later I'm getting them again.
Very annoying. - Server_Align7 years agoCollaborator | Level 10
Never used the beta's.
Was definitely a second round of them .58 then .60, if its gone now all good, just wanted to get on top of it, before it stopped the syncing on each version update.
Will report if it occurs on next version release.

version 60.4.107 rolled out, and what do you know
Every single machine hooked up to this account started asking about if I want to move files out of dropbox, and if I want to delete files from dropbox. AGAIN, so tht check box means nothing, you think the only way people move or delete files is with explorer eh?
Sort this [removed] out, add a preference to not be asked such stupid questions.
