Hi PaulHarder2, and thanks for posting about this here.
Can you also clarify for me what’s the current app version of your Dropbox app, as well as its syncing status?

I'm on v164.4.7914 and all files are currently up to date. Since I posted this question, I uninstalled and reinstalled. The Dropbox icon in the Mac's menu bar still has a notification badge and opening it still shows "Dropbox for macOS is now ready". My Dropbox folder is still at the same place in the file system as where it was before the reinstallation.

Hi PaulHarder2, could you try installing the latest stable version and let us know how it goes?

I'm now on v165.4.4300. I don't have any notifications on the Dropbox icon in the menu bar. That's a plus.
But my Dropbox folder is still located at Macintosh HD > Users > paulharder2 > Dropbox, not where the earlier announcement seemed to be saying it will go.
