Dropbox installer for OSX10.13.6

i am running OSX 10.13.6 on a mid-2010 mbp, and Dropbox requested an update, which then broke the version i had, and the dropbox site only seems to have the latest version ... in fact when i login during the attempted installation, i get a message that i have to get the latest version

can i get an old installer that will work with the cloud version?

      hi mark, thanks for replying

i too would have thought it would be straightforward but during instal, just after putting my login details in, i get a message telling me i am running an old version, and this is an install from dropbox website .... maybe i need to fully uninstall it to reinstall it? where might an uninstaller be found, if that is the next stage?

hi Mark, well this morning i downloaded the dropbox installer from your link, and for some reason it worked as it should have last night ... it just installed and notified me of a successful install ..... no messages warning me that i was running an old version that needed immediate update .... i do not understand what has just happened, but i am ver¥ thankful that you were here to offer advice, thank you again 🙂
