Latest Dropbox macOS update won't let use my Mac
It seems to be in constant stalemate. I upgraded to the new version of Dropbox as you recommended, but my Mac is no longer the same as before!
Folders and files that don't open and the Dropbox app ...

It took three days to (re)sync everything. Now it works

Hey Briskola, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community today.
We appreciate your feedback on this a lot and I do understand where you're coming from.
Since for this update all your files need to be re-synced, depending on the number of files you have, this process might indeed take a while to finish.
I would suggest taking a look at the syncing status after a while, to see if the number of files has decreased or is completely stuck.
If it gets stuck, I recommend you take a look at these troubleshooting steps as well.
Let me know how it goes.

May I ask how much data you have on Dropbox Briskola?
I have 460 GB of my own files in my Dropbox, and 140 GB of shared files, so 600 GB total. I'm now worried that it will take three WEEKS for me. Or do you have better estimate Hannah?
Thanks for any info, as I need to prepare this well, so my work won't stall.

I had about 20-25 gb between the two folders (Desktop and Downloads) synchronized in Dropbox. Realize that I had to keep the pc on for a long time, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten out of it.

Hi heikkipekka, I hope you're doing well!
We wouldn't be able to give you a precise estimate, since that depends on the amount of files, file types, bandwidth and internet connection among other things.
I would personally update during a time where you won't be that busy, this way you can allow for the app to sync properly, keep the device open and take the necessary time to prepare this update.
Of course, your content will always be available.
I hope this clarifies!
