Logic Pro X projects stored in Dropbox don't show up in "Recent"
Hi all, this is a niche issue and probably not Dropbox's "fault", but thought I'd ask here just in case.
Since I upgraded to the latest version of Dropbox for Mac (which moved the folder locati...

Hey all, I’m having an issue that is infinitely frustrating. Long story short, after having a bunch of issues with syncing get resolved, I now have Logic Pro X files that are showing up when I look at DropBox via a browser but are missing when I go to the DropBox folder on my computer. Weirdly it’s only the files that have been created since DropBox updated about a month or two ago.
On top of that, if I download one of these Logic files from the browser and just move it to my folder, it will rename it something to the effect of “conflicted file” and convert it to a folder, which makes the whole system entirely unusable for me.
There seems to already be a lot of stuff saying how DropBox is having issues working with Logic and Final Cut files because of the APIs used etc. and when I contacted support I kept being met with things to the effect of “this is not a DropBox issue”. I was also told to “re-connect Logic to DropBox” without any explanation of what that means or how to do it, even when asked.
Is anyone else having this sort of issue? I’ve used DropBox for years to help back up my files and save space on my computer and it’s worked perfectly and seamlessly the whole time, but it’s looking like I may need to switch to a different service or just start storing things to physical hard drives again.

Your Logic files are probably set up to default to 'Online-only'. Downloading them and putting them in the same folder will naturally create a conflict. Go into your Dropbox preferences and select Sync > Look for 'New files default'. Then select 'Available offline'. Hopefully this sorts the issue out.

Is there any update on the main issue of Logic Pro project files not showing up in 'Recent Items'? That's how I found this thread.
Seems like Apple aren't allowing third-party cloud storage companies easy access to a fix, or at the least are certainly making life more difficult for those not using iCloud?
