Hi dmarie26, I hope you're doing well!
In regards to your notification when using your Windows device, can you check which version of the Dropbox application you're using, and what's the sync status at the moment?
You can hover over the Dropbox icon in your task bar, to see this info.
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Hi Rick17, have you tried uninstalling the app and then re-installing it, like Jay suggested above?
Also dmarie26, could you send me a screenshot, of your notification area on your desktop, where you notice this issue?

What is the solution?
It looked like the issue was marked as resolved; I don't think it is.
While all the suggestions here are helpful (uninstall/reinstall, turn off notifications, etc.), these are short-term fixes. Uninstalling & reinstalling are out of the question for me; it would take forever for the re-sync to complete.
Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi all, thanks for your reports so far.
I just wanted to mention that this issue is on our radar and the team is currently looking into it.
We'll let you know more as soon as we have an update.

- Phcalc2 years agoHelpful | Level 6Well. I reported we can get rid of alerts (unread messages which have been read) by signing off and signing in. Yes it works until next alert. Now I have it back.
Signing off and on is not a fix.
DropBox get the glitch fixed.
