sync system driving me crazy
Hi, I am having problems with latest version of dropbox where original file is in library. I have tried everything, but I can't make progress
latest version of dropbox
latest version of Mac OS
1. Search Dropbox on my computer (can online)
2. open world files-they seem to be pseudo files-won't open
3. Understand what symbols mean
I think I understand the others.
so how to make searchable, how to open word files, (IS IT POSSIBLE TO UNINSTALL THE LATEST VERSION AND GO BACK?)? IT WAS WAY BETTER BEFORE
The symbol means it is online only. You need to download it (usually trying to Open it will do that, but if its large right click on it and select 'Make available offline')
And no searching is a restriction and known issue with the new Mac setup 😞
Unfortunately its not possible to go back

I figured out how to make word open the files after funky sync; you go to "open file", (mac os), then in the window at the right bottom there is a dropdown menu, one of the options is "repair". That worked. FOR ALL DROPBOX PEOPLE, THIS MEANS THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE FILES!!
I WISH THEY WOULD FIX IT IS SUCH A TIME WASTER!

My previous post-open file in Word, not system.
