The app doesn't show my profile picture, and I can't choose any preferences for syncing.
no matter how many times I have re downloaded dropbox desk top app, my profile picture does not show up and I cannot choose any preferences for syncing or anything else from the desktop

As a first step, would you mind clarifying the version of our app that you're using on your device, along with the app's syncing status?
You should be able to locate this by hovering over the little Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi on your task/menu bar.
If you could also send me a screenshot of your profile picture and how it shows on your end that'd be great.

I have a profile picture on the web dropbox but not the desktop app. I have just uninstalled it again. Is there something I am doing wrong downloading it to my desktop? I have windows 11.

Hi vacmmc,
Can you please try the following steps:
- Uninstall Dropbox app
- Reinstall Dropbox app
- After reinstall right click dropbox icon in the system tray
- Check if you can access preferences
- In preferences go to Accounts
- Do you see the picture here?

My question is, if I want to make changes I always click on the system tray icon and not the desktop app icon?
