Dropbox unauthorized charge

Recently I made a dropbox account to access a file shared with me. However, I never started any free trial to my knowledge nor signed up for any subscription. In fact, my accounts shows that I have the FREE dropbox basic plan with 2 TB of storage and shows "No payment or billing activity" in my account's billing section. Yet I was charged almost $200 by dropbox and I have no clue what for. Not only that, I can't even find a way to cancel my subscription when following these instructions (https://help.dropbox.com/plans/cancel-team-subscription). When I go to billing there's no "cancel plan" option. Perhaps because I never signed up for a plan??

 

Dropbox also seems to provide no way of contacting customer support or any clear method of issuing refunds. Very frustrating experience.

    Hi there crrr - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

     

    It sounds like you're on the Basic plan. Could you have a look at your plan tab and confirm if that's the case indeed?

     

    Do you happen to have another Dropbox account associated with another email address of yours perhaps?

     

    Also, did you try the self served look up tool to see if you can identify the email address that's associated with the charge?
