FIXED! Had to set the installer exe to run in compatibility mode.

Elgin C. If you tried it I really wouldn't know what to suggest. I simply right clicked on the DropboxInstaller.exe, clicked the 'Compatibility' tab, selected to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3), hit OK and then ran the exe file as normal.
I do have to run Dropbox in Administrator Mode everytime I use it. Have you tried installing in compatibility mode and then every time you run Dropbox, right clicking and selecting "Run as Administrator", or setting it to do this by default (by right clicking the Dropbox icon, clicking the Compability tab and then ticking the Run as Administrator box?
If this doesn't work I'm afraid I can't help further. I'm amazed that Dropbox aren't even paying attention to this issue.
