I was sharing a file with a client and I accidentally joined their team. How do I leave it?

Yesterday i needed permission from a client to download a file. After recieveing permission, my dropbox account is linked to my clients and i no longer have control of my account. Infact, shortly after receiving permission i was sent this email:

Thank you for joining "Elite Media Team" on Dropbox for teams!
Your previous Dropbox Plus subscription has been cancelled and we've issued $3.71 to your original payment method for the remaining value of your subscription. If you've got any questions, please contact us.
Welcome to the team!

I do not work for this Elite Media Team but now my dropbox is connected to theirs. How do i disconnect myself from them? Elite says they have deleted the folder i was shared to.  Still when i log on to dropbox (website or pc file explorer folder) i (and my entire team) am getting the clients dropbox folder. how do i go back to my own?

Dropbox says i need to be an administrator, which i am for my organization, to remove someone from a group. Since i am not an administrator with Elite i do not have this option.

Please someone, for the love of god, help.....

thank you!

Hey mbarbuto! Thanks for posting this on our Community today.

Now, since I understand you’ve joined your client’s Dropbox team indeed, the admin of that team will need to remove you from it and convert your Dropbox account back to a personal one.

Please make sure they follow these steps, so as to not delete your account instead during the process.

After that, your account should go back to a free Basic one, along with your existing files, and you can re-upgrade it to Plus, if you wish to.

If you have further questions though, I’ll be here.
