Hi, I have a Dropbox account in which I have enabled 2 step verification by google authenticator. I lost my phone and I couldn't access my Google Authenticator for Dropbox. Because of that when I try signing in into the Dropbox, I don't have 6 Digit Google Authenticator pin as well as I don't have Emergency Backup codes. I really need to access my account. Please someone help me to solve this. I couldn't even email or call dropbox customer service since I have a basic plan. I’ve had a basic account for years. I recently upgraded my laptop (old one is gone), and lost, then replaced my phone. Now I was unable to get Dropbox to work on my phone. I uninstalled and then downloaded the app, which says that I’ve reached my device limit and will need to get a paid plan. I think my replacement phone is counted against me. I only have 2 devices, my current laptop and phone. I've never had more than two at one time. I have very limited needs and I’d like to clear out all other devices and continue with my basic plan. I'm not "daskip". I might've had a dropbox account with one of my email addresses. Recently I got emails in French saying that a user named "daskip" registered an account with dropbox using my email address. It's difficult to understand. I could reset the password using my email address. Here is a strange occurrence. My colleague, has a professional account with 2-step verification enabled. She ported her mobile to Google Canada and now, she can not receive text messages and DropBox does not offer the option to call with the 6-digit code to login. She tried her backup codes and they did not work. Also, there was an option to send a notification to her Pixel4 but that never came. Basically she cannot login to her Professional account. All her credentials are the same (i.e. password, phone number, email) She just can't receive text messages. We couldn't find any other viable contact methods for her to get support so I'm inquiring here on her behalf in this post. Please help!3.8KViews0likes15Comments
