10 TopicsI keep receiving emails about being over-quota, but there aren't any files on my account.
I receive emails from Dropbox telling me my Basic account has reached its limit; however, when I log into my account there are no files there. I have searched in all folders, there is nothing there. I have also tried to locate these files using my laptop account and there is nothing there. I cannot respond to their emails because it's from an unmonitored mailbox. I cannot call Dropbox because I have the free edition, and their free customers aren't treated with the same care as their paying customers. How can I resolve this if I cannot speak to a live person about it? I'm tempted to reach out to our state's attorney general to file a complaint. This is just bad, bad business.14Views0likes1Comment"waiting for email verification" and my referral space hasn't been granted
in the last 6 monhts, I invited two people to Dropbox. One of whom is my student and the other one is my colleague. While both signed up and installed the app on their laptop and have been using it actively, I have yet to get my 1GB space (2*500MB). When I checked the status online, it still says "waiting for email verification". What the heck, 6 months? I contacted the support team and chatted with them, they just did not care and ended the chat as soon as they hear that I am not trying to upgrade to paid plan.Solved276Views0likes3CommentsFalse storage warnings via email
Lately, Dropbox has been emailing to say that my free 2 GB account is half full, and that now might be a good time to upgrade to a paid plan. Having thoroughly combed through every square inch of my Dropbox account, I can confirm that I have no files in storage, nothing in my "Deleted Files" folder, and no files lurking on my "Backup" page. My account is empty, in other words......and still, the storage warnings keep landing in my email inbox. (For the record, my email address exactly matches the email address in my Dropbox account settings.) What remedy? Thanks.Solved2.1KViews0likes6CommentsI've sent an invitation to someone to join Dropbox, but they haven't received my email. Any ideas?
I invited someone to join dropbox by adding their email. But they have not received the email. I double checked the email and it is correct. I wanted to invite so we could both receive more space. Can some help ? thanks911Views0likes10CommentsCan I have Dropbox not sync to my email address?
Can I use Dropbox (the free version with 2GB, no plans) without it syncing to my email account. If so, how do I do that? Currently it is linked to my email account and I log in using that method. I just want to stop it taking up my storage space.Solved1.1KViews0likes3CommentsWeird email regarding my quota
I got this mail that said "Eligibility confirmed: Pär, you'll lose access to your files if you don't act soon!" I don't understand why? They said I could upgrade and pay for more space, but what has that to do with losing access to my files? Looked legit, but is it a scam?1.3KViews0likes7CommentsCancelled sunscription, but storage is full
I cancelled my subscription in June since I no longer need Dropbox. I did not delete anything as I never saw anything that said I had to. However, I continue to get emails saying my storage space is over the limit. How do I stop this? Should I try to delete everything? How do I stop the emails? I'm getting these emails saying my storage limit has been exceeded but my account is only 50% full. I emailed Dropbox Support but they referred me here (even though I have a Plus account). Hi, I received a strange email but I don't trust it and would like to know if dropbox really sent it to me. the address I received it from is: no-reply@em-s.dropbox.com The body of the email is this: "Notice: synchronization of your files will be stopped soon, , Luca. We offer you access to up to 3 TB (3,000 GB) of space. You have limited space on Dropbox. If you try to add even one file, the account synchronization may be interrupted and you will not be able to access the files when you need them." Is it really dropbox or just a scammer?2.6KViews0likes2Comments
