JPG Files don't display in File Explorer Preview Pane
Windows 10 64bit Edition 22H2
Dropbox v 192.4.7629
JPG files in a dropbox folder do not display in the File Explorer Preview Pane. I can move the same file from the dropbox folder to any folder on the hard drive and it displays instantly in the windows preview pane.
Other files, like PNG, DOCX, PDF, TXT, etc, display fine. However, XLSX files do not display.
PNG, DOCX, PPTX, PDF, TXT files display fine from local hard drive (directories not connected to Dropbox), but XLSX files do not (interesting).
Stopping dropbox on the PC has no affect (i.e. preview pane still does not work.).
Covet any wisdom... 😉

I had exactly the same problem and was driving me crazy. I tried installing other JPG viewers, but no solution either. Finally, I uninstalled Dropbox completely and installed it again. This solved the issue.

Hi there, Jeff H.8, and thanks for your post.
If you closed the Dropbox app and this issue appeared to persist, this indicates that it's not really a Dropbox related issue, but let's see if there's something we can find.
If you haven't already, can you please restart the computer, to see if that helps?
Also, have you installed Dropbox with admin privileges on the computer?
Keep me posted.

Same here but NO file types at all in DB "only online". I need to open them, close, and thereafter preview works. ?...

Right. Which never happened until now. Just by clicking on their name I could see for instance their size, which I needed in order to know whether I wish to reduce it (which I do several times a day). Now I first must open, see size, reduce (or not), and close. Really cumbersome.
