Taking photos in the iOS app doesn't save in the same folder
Prior to release 358.2 whenever I would take a photo from within the app, the photo would upload to whatever folder I was currently in.
Now whenever I take a photo, I have to navigate back to the folder I'm already in again to get it to upload to that folder.
Is there a setting that has been changed? Can it be changed back?
Thank you for your time.
Hi there Eriv1,
Thanks for sharing your feedback.
This should be modified in the next couple of days, with our next upgrade (v360).
I'll update the thread once we have this up and running,
Thanks for your patience,
Sam

Hi both,
This should be fixed in our next iOS app update (v360), which is due in a few weeks.
You can check our latest version in the What’s New session.
Let us know if you have any issues then.
Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam!
Thak you for letting us know. I'm a field inspector and use dropbox for pictures and documents. The way Dropbox operated for me was perfect until couple of weeks ago when all of the sudden I needed to choose a file again, once I click on the take a photo button (right in the file I was working on) This modification has been counterproductive and has slow me down drastically not to mention that I have chosen files equivocally., The point is that it is a mess now to work on dropbox and needs to change if not I will have to cancel my subscription because I bet anybody in my line cannot work like this. Is like we went back 25 years ago,
Because I have so many files (1 per client) and I have hundreds of clients, I have to search into several files before I get to the correct folder. si I can upload the picture I just took. (Yes I saw that once you take the first then it goes directly to that folder) but getting there the first time is a very long and tedious process.
So this has created a crisis for all of my employees which use Dropbox as our main go to field tool.
Please let me know if there is anything immediately that we could do to turn this around?
We have been using dropbox for as long as I can remember, since you guys launch the app. I don't want to have to change to another system.
Thank you!

You used to be able to select a folder on the ios app and via the + button clicking on Make a photo, after that upload it in the folder you started with without having to select this folder.
In the latest app version on iOS you have to select the folder again while the default is the historical folder (based on your last upload session). This should not be based on history but based on hierarchical selection!- Eriv1Explorer | Level 3It seems dropbox modified the app. Now when I take pictures directly from an open file and try to upload them the app ask me to which folder I want it saved and never gives me the option of the file I have already open( which is the file I need does anybody has the same problem?
