Hey ob6gottablast - sorry to hear about this.
It seems like the Dropbox Folder on your computer was not deleted when you uninstalled the Dropbox desktop app in the first place.
Can you navigate to the Dropbox Folder now and delete it from your Mac?
This should free up any hard drive space that was taken up by the Dropbox folder.
Just make sure you don't need any of the files that are stored there first.
I hope this helps and please keep me posted on your progress.

That false storage folder issue on macOS can be super confusing! From my experience, sometimes these folders pop up when your Mac is trying to organize files or something gets stuck during an update.

Hello, sorry for the late response, broke my arm. I do need the files inside the folder because I make music, and I fear some of my projects can be in the folder. Is there no way for me to view the folder with all of its files? ;(

Hey ob6gottablast, I hope you're feeling better!
If you locate your Dropbox folder using Finder and try to open it that way, does it look empty there too?
Do you see your content when visiting your account online?
