Any benefits to migrating to Dropbox for macOS on File Provider?
I'm interested to hear if the move to the new DB version does offer any benefits at all. From all I've gathered, it seems certain features, that some depend upon, have been removed as more control is handed over to macos.

I don't get it. I read the Dropbox article help.dropbox.com/installs/macos-support-for-expected-changes, but with soooooooo may words, paragraphs, references, if this or that's, I'm soooooooo confused as to what it is, why is it, what it means and how it affects me and my iCloud on my Mac.
Like, if I pay Dropbox for my subscription, and now thy want it referenced on Apple/my iCloud, and I want it static, locally or on an external drive, and if locally, how it affects my Apple subscription for storage, and on and on and an.
Not to mention I had a nightmare last year with an end user needing to use massive gigs on an external drive and was told it is not supported, or it is being ficed, etc., etc.
So simply stated, why pay for Dropbox if it's tied to iCloud, or should I just put it on OneDrive?
Soooooooo confusing!

Hey masam, thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community.
Here's a very detailed article documenting all the expected changes that come with Dropbox for macOS on File Provider, so you can have clear view of what to expect.
Of course, I'll leave this thread open, in case other users want to give you some info about their experiences.
Feel free to ask me anything as well.

I had seen this article, but it mostly points out changes and limitations.
Are there any benefits?
