Hi thethinman, thanks for writing back to me.
When trying to enable the Computer backup, you should see an error that mentions the path that's already in iCloud.
It would indicate that the feature hasn't been enabled for said path.

I think the issue you may have here is that backup folders do not work like regular sync ones. So you wont have the ability to open files etc via Finder like you do with files currently if they are part of the BackUp system.

Thank you Mark. Question: are you saying that I won't be able to open and work on my files in my home desktop/document folders (via Finder) after I get them backed up into Dropbox? Hopefully that is not what you meant, as I thought that the whole point of Backup was to allow you to work in your home folders and have those changes automatically backed up in Dropbox.
I'm assuming what you meant was I wouldn't be able to open up and work on files inside the dropbox folder. If that is the case, I don't think that will be an issue, as the whole point of this for me is to be able to work in one place: my home desktop/document folders.
