Dropbox no longer works on my MAC 10.11.6.

Dropbox no longer works on my MAC 10.11.6.  I tried downloading older versions, did not work. Surely Dropbox is not going to

ignore and dismiss users like me. I used DB to share files between my PC and MAC, my PC still works but on my MAC I can no longer sync.

Help

I understand where you're coming from, Janet, yet, we need to regularly release new versions of the Dropbox desktop app with additional features, better performance, and security enhancements to keep our products in line and these versions are not always compatible with older systems.

For instance, Apple stopped providing security updates to OS X 10.10 and OS X 10.11 in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

That said, thanks for your feedback on this matter and please let me know if you have anything else to add or ask.

Hey Janet M.19, thanks for posting on our Community and sorry to hear about this.

Your computer's OS has not been supported since last October so you won't be able to use the desktop app, but only the website through a web version. You can have a look here for more information about the system requirements for the Dropbox desktop app.

I hope this clears things up a tad, Janet.

That is too bad, surely you should be able to allow older versions to still work with my MAC.

Don't like companies that just throw their users under the bus
