Solved

Dropbox will NOT accept my email address.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 1.0 (2014) and want to log into an already existing Dropbox account which I can access from my desktop or phone, BUT....on my Galaxy Note it always shows an error at the top: Please enter a valid email address. I have entered it dozens of times. It doesn't change. I tried disable Dropbox, reboot, enable and still Dropbox will NOT accept my email address. Must be some secret trick nobody is aware of.

Hi KitMcGuire, the Dropbox mobile app is no longer compatible on Android 5.1.1, as you can see by the app having the old Dropbox logo on it.

The current requirements are for Android 6.0 or higher.

If your mobile browser is supported, you might be able to access your account from there.

Hey KitMcGuire, sorry to her you're having issues with this.

Could you check your account's Security page and let me know how many devices you see connected there?

If you're on the Basic plan, there's a device limit you might be hitting.

If that's not the case, please send us a screenshot of the error you're getting and clarify your device's OS version for us.

    Thanks!
