Files keep disappearing from my Dropbox folder on Mac

I am using Mac OS 14.6.1 with Dropbox 210.3.4768

My dropbox is constantly removing folders from my Mac. I have selective sync activated and I want only some folder to be on my local machine. I update some files and 1 hour later the files are gone? Sometimes while I work on my VS Code IDE files disappear from the folder.
It seems to be totally random. It is impossible to work at the moment.
Some Applications need Libraries Files - f.e. Eagle - and all of the sudden the Library is gone and the APP throws errors. While the app is running.
How to fix this madness.

Folders show up - but the are empty
I also get lots of (Conflicts) Copies

Now I have in my MAC Folder the following

    /Users/username/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox

    and
    /Users/username/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox\ \(16.10.24\ 16:22\)

The Dropbox Folder is empty and the newly created folder has my Dropbox Folder

has all my old data but is not linked to the Dropbox APP

Is this some kind of bad joke?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, pixelcrash.

When the files disappear, are they gone from your Dropbox folder completely, or are they turned to 0 bytes (online-only)?

If they're completely gone, are they gone from your account on the website as well?

Also, what's the sync status of the app, when hovering over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar?

Let me know and we'll go from there.
