today i have to reinstall the PC for other reasons and now dropbox works

Yes, I tried reinstalling and the advanced reinstallation procedure, but it still won't connect. Keep in mind that the version of Windows has been restored.
In that case, you can try installing the app on a new OS profile, if that's not much of a hassle for you mofabio

I create another account on the same computer, it tells me that the client is offline. If you can contact me by email, I'd be happy to solve the problem. Thank you
Hi mofabio, it does sound like you're experiencing an issue with that specific machine.
Are you 100% certain that there isn't any security software, proxy, VPN, firewall, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
Is this a personal machine, or a company-managed device?
