Charged for an account I can no longer access

Hi Community,

 

I left my software company a year ago, and I thought we had cancelled the dropbox business account. I just received a $540.00 charge on my AMEX. Since I no longer work for the company, I do not have a valid email to log into the account.

 

How can I speak with someone to resolve this? If needed I'll dispute the charge but I'd rather have the Dropbox team take care of it.

Of course, since I now have just a basic personal account, I can't call or chat...

    In this case, I would suggest opening a support request directly with our team. You can do so, by following these steps:

     

    1. Open a private browsing/incognito window and go to this page.
    2. In the "I want to look up information related to" section, choose "other" and type in an email address you can access.
    3. Fill out the rest of the form.
    4. Click "submit".

    Let us know when you have your ticket number.

      Hi Hannah, I resubmitted the ticket using my current email, not the old email I no longer have access to.

      Here is the ticket number.

      Ticket #24341037

       

      Please help me cancel this and have my Amex refunded. THanks.

        Hey soneman28, I’ve found your ticket in our system and left an internal note to our team. 

         

        I can see though one of our support members has already replied to you, so please check their email, when possible.

      Hannah,

       

      I no longer have access to the email address associated with this charge. So, I am NOT getting the response with the ticket number. I can see the charge, but it was supposed to be cancelled. Should I simply dispute the charge? Please advise.

      Hi Hannah,

       

      I submitted the information as you have requested but when I submitted successfully only says Thanks we'll be in touch. We'll respond to your help request in 1-2 days. 

       

      I would very much like this to be resolved a I cannot afford to pay this amount.

        When you submitted the form you would have received a ticket number in your email. Reply here with that number and Hannah or one of the other Dropboxers can check the status for you.
