Did you renew your subscription, by updating your credit card in your Dropbox account directly, or did you pay through iTunes/Google Play?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Hi Hannah,
I renewed through apple, not directly through Dropbox. Dropbox still shows my old CC and I am not aware of how to update it. In the account settings DB only mentions to get assistance through the support, but that is not really intuitive.

Hi Doggydoc, if you renewed via the iOS mobile app, you might need to restore the purchase to your Dropbox account.
