Send and track discontinuation
I'm paying annually for an Essentials plan with you. Currently, I'm paying over $400 CAD per year.
Between your discontinuing Vault and now discontinuing Send & Track, you're removing features that I've paid for and are also features that influenced my decision to go with Dropbox Essentials in the first place. I don't see you offering to reduce the price of my current plan that you're removing features from.
In the e-mail I'd gotten about the Send & Track discontinuation, you offered a promo code for 3- months free of DocSend Personal. How nice of you, eh? How nice to offer me 3 months free of a service that I'd already paid for, you took away, and are now forcing me to pay for again to keep using! At the low low price of an additional $120–180+ in addition to the $400+ that I'm already paying you per year. 🤬
Seriously, what is going on with Dropbox as of late‽ Clearly, it's time we all start looking at alternative service.

Due to this Send & Track feature, I have to change over 500 links for my customers as the links will be expiring and removed March 31, 2025. This has caused a lot of stress as I have to restart everything from scratch and also re-upload all my files/videos somewhere other than dropbox as well. It's insane how much work and headaches dropbox is causing by removing this feature. It was my main feature and now all my hard work is being scrapped by dropbox. If I would have known this was gonna be taken away, I would have never bothered signing up with 2 accounts and pay for the entire year knowing I would have to start all my hard work all over again. I am so frustrated!!!!

Hi James Stewart, I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on this with us.
When it comes to the discontinuation of the Send and track feature, note that the usage of its hub is low, and removing it (similarly with the Dropbox Vault) allows us to narrow our focus on building other features and experiences to help you do your best work.
That said, I understand where you’re coming from and I’ll make sure to pass your comments on to the team as well.
Thank you.

But, I do question this (as somebody impacted by this).... every feature you launch that is useful is pulled. Therefore can we just concentrate on what we already have?
