Can I keep my files safe and copy proof from other users on my account?
Hello Dropbox team,
I would like to know how can I keep my files copyproof from the other users in my account is there any specific features in the platform to restrict or understand when one of the users copy the files to his computer
thanks in advance

Hi Pooja p, thanks for messaging the Community.
Long story short, if a user gets an option to download or sync your file, they can be copied to any location, like any other digital file.
When you say your account, do you mean your own personal account or other team members on a Dropbox Business team?
This will help me to clarify further.
- Pooja pExplorer | Level 3yes we do use a business account with 3 users with 3 different logins, and one of the account is shared with 2 other users except the main user.
Also all of files are synced on time and downloaded in our respective plug in Hard drives.
so my questions are
1)Is there any way to track where the files are being copied or moved to? even if it's out of Dropbox folders like in my desktop or in the Pc folders? may be like a log or something where we can see what files are viewed or working by different users or any sort
2)Once I tried copying the downloaded files from my Hard disk to my pc but this is when I forgot to turn on the sync button, in which the process was terminated and a dialog box was popped up saying this cannot be done because the sync was off, that means something resisting or tracking the file's movement right? I am also not very sure about this waiting for someone to throw some light on this.
Thank you- JayDropbox Staff
There is the activity report in the admin console, however, that is limited to actions of Dropbox, and don't log any computer-based actions.
Could you clarify what you mean by copying files 'from my Hard disk to my pc'? Did you mean from the Dropbox site to your computer, or by marking files as available offline?
