Can't access email to get 6-digit code
I can login successfully, but needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
Before immigration, login dropbox never needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
After immigration, it needs me to check 6-digit code in email. (same computer)
My email account was disabled (long time no use and I forgot the password), I can't login to my email to check the 6-digit code.
I only want to login Dropbox without check email 6-digit code, so what can I do?

Paddy123, is there any chance you have any devices that are still linked to that Dropbox account (via a desktop/mobile app)?
If yes, please check their notifications as the one-time code may be there.

Irfan shafiq, can you please clarify what you mean when saying that your email address is blocked? Do you mean that it’s been disabled perhaps?
From what I can see in our system, you’ve logged a ticket with our support team and mentioned that the issue seems to be resolved now.
Let me know if you're still having trouble with this.

I signed up to drop box over 10 years ago using a certain email address. That internet service provider no longer exists but I still know my old password. When I tried logging in using my old email and password it said it sent a link to the old email address to reactivate my account.
Obviously I can't open this email to reactivate the account.
I have a basic account.
How do I access my old account or is it gone forever.

The problem is when I try to log in, it sends a 6 digits code to my old email address which I don't have access to.

I have had a dropbox Account for over 15 years. The account was linked to my work email and work mobile number. The Company went into liquidation. Have tried to log in and it sent a code to the email linked with the account (work). I know my password etc. but cant access without verification code. I desperately need access to the documents stored in dropbox. What can I do to rectify it? Many Thanks

Hello all,
It's been some time since I've been in my Dropbox account and needed to login in recently to retrieve some old graphic files. When I try to log into my account, Dropbox sends a verification code to my email, the problem is the email associated with the account is no longer active and is inaccessible to retrieve the verification code. I've checked out Dropbox's help section for login issues, unfortunately, none pertain to my situation.
Is there anyone that's experienced this issue and found a workaround?

You tried to log in, but your account email has been hacked, so you can't enter your email code to log in in step 2. I can't log in to my email and can't verify my code.
How do I get past the email verification code step?

Do you currently have any devices that are still connected to this Dropbox account? If yes, have you checked whether the one-time code has been sent as a notification there?
Otherwise, I’d like you to log a ticket with our support team instead. Please follow these steps:
Make sure that you are NOT signed in to ANY Dropbox account in your internet browser.
Go to this page https://www.dropbox.com/support/sign-in-issues, and select an “issue type”.
Enter your information, make sure that you enter an email address that you currently have access to, and submit it.
You will then receive a confirmation email that will have a ticket number.
Send me your ticket number here, once you have it.

Hi,
I have another dropbox for my work, and when I created it, I was using my old work mail. Now that I dont work at that place anymore, that email is deleted. When I try to log into Dropbox I get the message that they have sent a security code, but I dont have access to that mail anymore. It it impossible to contact any type of support here.
Is there anyone out there who could PLEASE help meg 😞

Hey Iselin Vatle - sorry to hear about this.
May I ask if this is a 2 step verification email or a one time security code instead? When was the last time you accessed that account?
Is there an option of getting in touch with your old work and ask them to see if they can re-create the email address for you, at least temporarily, so that you can access it to regain access to your Dropbox account as well?
Let us know more and we'll take it from there.

I have not had access since july. My old work e-mail was deleted around mid august I think (My last day there was 31st of July). But I have not tried to sign into this dropbox since some time in July so I am not sure exactly when.
It is one time security code. I write in my email and then the password, and it says that it has sent a security code to my email.
I have asked my old job if they could do that, and they could not...

Hadn't logged in for a while, today it requires a six digit verification code sent to email address, but email was a college email and, as luck would have it, was discontinued 11 days ago, so I have no way to access the code.

Out of curiosity, do you have any devices that may still be linked to the Dropbox account in question (by having installed the desktop/mobile app)?
If yes, it may be worth checking the Notifications section, as the 6-digit code may have been sent there, as well.
If this doesn’t work, and it’s not possible to re-enable your college email address either, let me know.
