Account Access
134 TopicsHow to cancel a subscription if I cannot access to my email address
Dropbox keeps charging me on the account that I no longer use (I used the company email address to register to Dropbox a couple of years ago but now I have left the firm and I no longer have access to the email. I believe the email is no longer available too). What is worse is that I have no access to the registered email address and when I tried to log in using that email address, Dropbox sent a verification email to that inaccessible email address and I cannot verify myself and cannot log in to unsubscribe the service. What should I do? I am thinking about canceling my credit card to avoid this stupid loop. I want to talk with customer support directly but they say that I need to be a paid subscriber of which I cannot log in. What should I do? Need help ASAP.38Views0likes3Comments"You are not allowed to make this purchase."
I had a Teams account and I followed the instructions to disband the team. It said that all accounts would be converted to free accounts and then could be upgraded. But when I log in to my account it suggests that I upgrade. But when I click on any option to upgrade it takes me back to the previous page and then flashes an error message "You are not allowed to make this purchase." I tried visiting the support page but perhaps since I am not a paying customer I can not contact Dropbox support.... ?19Views0likes1CommentSmall company getting billed but staff using personal accounts
Small company is billed annually for Dropbox but the 2 staff use personal accounts to access company files. These personal accounts run out of space and are prompted to upgrade. I'm one of the 2 staff. What is the process to obtain login information for the company account (the one being billed annually)?62Views0likes9CommentsI deleted my Dropbox account, but I'm still being charged
I have read the similar items to mine and do not know how to receive assistance. My wife had a small business and used the Dropbox services for several years. She retired earlier this year and we submitted a request to Dropbox to delete the account. I received a confirmation on May 28, 2024 at 11:59 AM stating the following: "This email is a confirmation that you've deleted your Dropbox account." I am still being charged $54.00 per month. I am unable to log into the original account because the account was deleted, as I had requested. I attempted to write an email to SALES to see if they would assist me, but all I received back was the procedure to log into the account and work from there. Again, it is hard to log into an account if the account has been deleted. The most recent billing statement from Dropbox is listed as: [Removed as per Community Guidelines]. As a last ditch effort, I even tried to send a response to "Feedback@dropbox.com" which was listed in my cancellation confirmation letter but the response came back telling me this is not a monitored address. How do I get someone at Dropbox to address this issue? Thanks, DaleSolved507Views0likes12CommentsI have been charged 119.88 every January 31 for an account I no longer have access for
I have been charged 119.88 every January 31 for an account I no longer have access for! Please cancel this subscription before the next billing cycle. I would like to be able to resolve this issue before I get charged once again. Unfortunately, if my attempts to seek support get ignored (as it is usual with Dropbox) I will be forced to initiate a chargeback via my bank. This is a serious issue and it's baffling that Dropbox has been just silently leeching off my money and not letting me cancel the subscription.40Views0likes4CommentsI need help locating my paid account as it shows I only have a Basic one
I've ben trying to locate an email address for Dropbox so that I can ask why I keep being shown as having only the Basic account, when I have paid or more. Can't even find my past documents. Seems like a typical example of robots forcing everyone to fit with their pre-arranged responses rather than allowing a customer to ask a simple question. Not very satisfactory. How can I resolve this?49Views0likes1CommentI can't cancel my Dropbox plan, as I can only access a free Basic account.
i have had dropbox for a over 4 years at £9.50 a month, when i look in my account it says i have a free account so cant cancel it. . i can access a free account, but I cant access my paid account files and i can cancel the subscription. How can I be refunded?
On November 20, I created a Dropbox account with a free trial subscription. The next day, I canceled my account because I found it was not useful for my needs. However, on December 20, I noticed a charge of €19.99 on my account, even though I no longer have access to the service. I have tried logging in to investigate, but the system prompts me to register again using my email (this email that I am using now and that is the same that I have received the charge). After doing so, I can only access a Basic plan with no active billing information. This makes it impossible for me to access the service for which I’m being charged or even confirm details related to the subscription. I am requesting an immediate refund of the charge and the cancellation of any subscription linked to my email address. Additionally, I am unable to contact support directly due to the limitations of the Basic plan, so I am reaching out through this channel for assistance. I would greatly appreciate your prompt resolution to this issue. Please let me know if you need any further information.39Views0likes3CommentsI want to cancel an inaccessible plan and get a refund for it.
