Hello! I successfully turned off and deleted my Dropbox backup. It is no longer listed on my backups page. However, my storage space is still showing a yuuuge number. As if the backup is still taking up the space. I deleted it today. Should I expect a delay in the space being reallocated to my account? Is there another I way to recover the space?Solved2.7KViews0likes11CommentsStorage full?
This is what I use: Dropbox Used Disk Space: Size: 79,1 MB (82.960.660 bytes) Size on disk: 86,9 MB (91.201.536 bytes) Contains: 3.499 Files, 16 Folders This is what Dropbox says: Using 7.59 GB of 5.5 GB storage It suggest I either make room by deleting files or increase my paid subscription. How is it possible with only using less then 90 MB?Solved2.6KViews0likes3CommentsOur Dropbox team has gone over-quota and I can't permanently delete my files.
My Client (Call it Client Gamma) has a Dropbox Standard Account of 5 TB. Only we 2 are the members of this account. Client Gamma is the admin. When I log In to Dropbox I get 2 Folders. My Personal Folder (Call it FOLDER ALPHA) and the Folder that my client uploads files to (Call it FOLDER Gamma). Now I have other clients(Call it Client Beta) as well. And Clients Beta have invited me to their Dropbox account. These client's folder (Folder Beta) appear inside my FOLDER ALPHA. So these folders should be independent from my main client's folder (independent from Client Gamma). > PROBLEM 1: Now Client Gamma's Account Storage is Full. I proceed to upload files to my other client's folder (Folder Beta). Their accounts are not full. But I get Dropbox is full error. > Problem 2: Hoping to create space, I decide to go to the deleted files section where my old files are rotting because I can't permanently delete them. The files I had in the FOLDER ALPHA are mine. The admin (Folder Gamma) doesn't even have access to Folder Alpha(My folder). But I can't permanently delete my own files unless I have permission from Client Gamma? I am really confused. Someone explain to me what is happening and how to solve this?2.1KViews0likes5Commentshow to reset/format my dropbox storage
Hi, i encounter a problem with my Dropbox, its shows that it's 84% full although i deleted all my Dropbox context by the WEB interface. in order to resolve the issue - i did the following, w/o a lot of success 😞 1) i signed out from my computer and mobile applications 2) deleted all content from the WEB 3) signed in again to desktop and mobile, and verified that they are empty 4) checked the storage usage - still no change 5) went over other similar problems in the Dropbox community w/o any luck. my question is: how can i format/reset/clear all my dropbox content so it will show no usage? thanks ahead for any assistance and advice. -yaron2.1KViews0likes9CommentsDropbox is empty but the system is saying it is full.
I have been getting lots of emails from Dropbox telling me to upgrade as I am apparently using 105% of my space when in fact my Dropbox is empty! I have a basic account but i have 16.75GB of space. The system says I have used 17.57GB of space. I did have some files in my Dropbox which were about 10GB in size and I deleted them thinking this would free up space but the opposite is the case. Before I deleted these files I had used very nearly all my 16.75GB of space but when I deleted these 10GB of files, instead of giving more space it then said I am using more space....ie the amount of space I had went from 98% of usage to 105% of usage it now says I am using 17.57GB of space when in fact my Dropbox is now empty! Go figure that one out if you can??2KViews0likes9CommentsDELETE ONLINE BACKUP

I'm using Dropbox (free version) for a few years now. I never upgraded my plan simply because I don't need as much space. In the past couple of weeks, I have connected two laptops with my account. I don't know how or why, but Dropbox by itself, and I'm not joking here. I started to back up my files?! I noticed it because I received a notification on my phone saying that I had run out of space. I had a folder loaded with (*.exe *.xml *.7z *.rar) ect... I don't know if that can create problems? I immediately paused the process, and I unconnected the two laptops from my Dropbox account. I then tried to clean up my Dropbox account. Currently, I have a folder in my Dropbox that comes from one of the laptops. I tried to erase it, and it was impossible! Now that I have already removed my two laptops from my account, I'm working with my cellphone trying to erase files that were originally uploaded from another source. I have a copy of all these files, and they're all secured protected by passwords. I can't resume the backup. The target laptop is no longer in my Dropbox account. Furthermore, the laptop has been formatted! So, I think, I'm going to have to erase my Dropbox account unless someone from Dropbox can erase the folder and files in question!?Thank you for your help, I hope I can solve that problem because it takes all my space thank you very much.Solved1.6KViews0likes2CommentsCan't delete shared folders?
