Hello all, So I upgraded my plan to the business plan, I have tried to use the branding option so the videos I share to customers will show my business logo and background image. I have uploaded both the logo and background images and they show up on the previews but when you go to the shared link it just shows as the usual plain dropbox view. Morning All I have uploaded folders this morning and everyone within the Dropbox group have had an email from myself (via Dropbox) inviting them to edit said folder. This is the first time this has happened and my colleagues have made new folders after and no emails have been sent out. Support were less then helpful and I am sure it will be a silly setting I have hit my end, but could anyone please help? Hello everyone, I tried to login my dropbox account but everything is gone. I was working on a project with a team couple of months ago and they made me switch my personal account to their team account. Now back to yesterday, when I tried to login then my email address and everything was reseted. Anyone had this issue? I had absolutely zero warning. Are all my files gone? I have a business account that is inactive for over 1 year. The business has been shut down and the associated email is no longer available. I have the account password but i cant access without a code that is sent to the business email (email is inactive). I want to de-link this account from my personal account to be able to link other accounts. Like many my businesses was deeply impacted by Covid, forcing me to lay off all of my staff in my Consultancy company, downsize and focus on my hospitality business that was also deeply impacted. Fortunately I was then picked up as an individual by a much larger consultancy company. This left me needing to downsize my consultancy business teams accounts down to one, but still of course wanting to keep all its valuable data safe, and also keep it separated from my personal dropbox. I called dropbox support and got advice on how to do this, but after completing it I was totally shocked to discover I was no longer allowed to link my personal and work accounts! This seems shocking to me that Dropbox would have such a strange and inconvenient rule in place. Surely I can't be the only customer in the world that functions as an independent Sole Consultant that would like to run linked but seperate work and private accounts, and is happy to pay for both??? I have great trouble seeing that there is any technical issue here for Dropbox. ie zero work to make customers happy, and would be more than ok to pay slightly extra for this very basic service. But Dropbox support tells me the only way to do this is to pay for a minimum of three accounts that I simply don't need. In case someone asks, why not just merge into one account, because I'd like to continue the option of re-expanding my consultancy business when opportunity arises, and prefer to maintain and share the folders with the other associate consultants we have worked with for decades, maintaining known business work flows. From a dropbox point of view if im happy to pay for two accounts and would like to link them so I can sync both easily... why the hell not!?! (FYI. Hi there, Selective Sync has something going on with it. It won't let us select additional folders in the list available. It shows all the folders we have, but you cannot select them, the little tickmark in the checkbox won't tick. We are MS Windows 10 and 11 users. We have dropbox business subscriptions for 50 employees. It happens accross the whole firm. The white box at the bottom of the screen after renaming/deleting a file no longer dissapears on its own after a few seconds how it's always been. Even when you change to a different directory, it stays there until you manually "close" it. Very annoying, unnecessary extra action that started a few days ago. I have no idea where to report simple bugs like this (and we all know there are many bugs like this, a new one every week most of the time), even as the owner of a team account. When I contact the live chat, they keep repeating to try changing your browser when they can see I'm contacting them on behalf of a team (so multiple people, multiple devices, multiple browsers) and even when explicitly expressed that this is the situation they still recommend clearing your cache and switching browsers, instead of just verifying the issue that could be done in less than 30 seconds. So, unless I'm mistaken and correct me if I am, there isn't an actual place for me to report these bugs, can someone please tag the devs to pick this up?322Views0likes1CommentBranding (teams): Allowing both customization on a member level and a company logo
I'd love if member branding and team branding options could be enabled simultaneously, and not mutually exclusive as they are currently. My wife and I are a two person team on a Dropbox Advanced plan. We work for the same company (which we own) but prefer our own personal branding (our own picture etc. for Transfers and shared links). It all works fine when sharing links from within our designated member folders, however, when I share a link to a file that resides in our shared team space/directory (i.e. outside of our member folders) the branding on that link is always my wife's picture and background image. It would be amazing if files shared from member folders could have member branding AND files shared from our root team directory could have our company/team branding. Currently, Admin Console forces you to choose EITHER member branding or team branding. It would be so helpful to have team AND member branding enabled simultaneously, simply based on the file directory and/or logged in user who created the link or transfer.
