Unresponsive download button in Safari

I cannot download files in the Dropbox web version using the Safari browser. The download button etc. appears but when I click on it, the download process does not start.

I have this same problem. Bit, if I kill cookies, then share a link to myself, then download it from that link like an outside user, I can get it to download. But not AT ALL from my own dropbox that houses the file.  This is only a problem in Safari.  but unfortunately that's my primary browser and this is a colossal pain to do every time.

Hey Jason211 thanks for posting here!

It might sound trivial, but have you made sure that you're using the latest version of Safari on your end?

Also, have you tried to restore the browser to its default settings, by any chance?

      Let me know!

Your email did not arrive, I added the email address no-reply@dropbox.com as you specified.

HI grafikermc, just for confirmation, can you try using private browsing without any extensions running in Safari to see if this helps?

Hey grafikermc let me jump in here too!

As a last step, have you tried restoring Safari to its factory settings? Connecting to it through a different network might also work.

If this doesn't work, let me know and I'll open up a ticket on my end for you. Thanks

I can download it when I open it in different browsers. For this reason, I deleted the Safari browser's cache files etc. but it did not work.

      Thanks for checking, grafikermc.

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled Safari, to see if it helps?

Also, which version of Safari are you using?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, grafikermc.

Have you tried downloading files using a different browser or a private browsing window, to see if you get a different behavior?

Let me know what you find.
