When I move photos, a copy remains in the original folder, why?
Hi, I'm organizing my photos and am moving some photos to a new folder called "non-family". But they are also remaining in the original folder. Shouldn't they actually just move to the new folder? I'm not copying them, I'm using the "move" option.

Thank you for this. I wasn't dragging but clicking on the "move" button. But yes, through a browser. Does that change anything?

If you were in a browser then what I mentioned doesn't apply.
Nothing has changed on the website that would affect the ability to move a file. I just tested and it seems fine. I would try it again on a different file in a different folder, just as a test.

Are you doing this through the Dropbox website in a browser or through the Dropbox folder on your computer?
If you're doing this in the Dropbox folder on your computer and you're dragging and dropping files, and you're on Windows, know that Microsoft has changed the default behavior when dragging files in a root sync folder from a move to a copy. To force a move, hold the Shift key while dragging.
