Apple Silicon (M1) Desktop Sync Compatibility
Please can you upgrade the Dropbox app so that it works natively on Apple Silicon Macs (M1) without Rosetta.
Rosetta is not an option as it annihilates the battery.
This may be a duplicate of the below idea however that started for ARM processors in general and you haven't looked at it in 6 years so starting an Apple specific idea in the hope you see it.
There are also lots of comments on this thread to help support the case for demand:
Hi all,
Native Apple silicon support is now fully available. All users with Apple silicon devices will receive the native version of Dropbox automatically. If you would like to update your device manually, you can do so by clicking on the latest Stable Build and downloading the Offline Installer (Apple Silicon) file. Shame on Dropbox for not having this done already.

Are you dumb or what? Is it real that we had to have a freaking ticket for this and that people should beg you to do what’s your obligation as a business? You gotta be kidding, this is hideous!

My entire office is getting M1 MacBook Pros. Are you telling me we will have to stop using Dropbox?? It costs a fortune! How do you not have support for M1s???

It’s been a year with probably a lot longer development lead time. This is just concerning to hear that this is not a priority and speaks volumes about the product I’m actually paying for. If this is the case, I’ll soon be taking my dollars to Google Drive. They announced M1 support a while ago

finally a reason to save some money and give iCloud a second try. No M1 support, no Dropbox.

I just saw this on my Apple News feed, guess it's going viral. No wonder my company switched from Dropbox to Apple iCloud. How can you not be updated for M1 support. Rosetta is not a permanent option, it's only a 2 year transition, once they cut support that means Dropbox won't work anymore on Apple Silicon. Remember the old Rosetta only lasted about 2 years also during the switch from PPC to Intel.
Even Google Drive supports native M1 already and OneDrive is in the works. And we're basing this on votes, that's a poor decision by a supposed top company...

Getting a new MacBook Pro today. The first thing I will do is install Dropbox, download all my files, then uninstall Dropbox and cancel my 14-year paid subscription.

So a service I pay for has to be convinced to support the latest technology? The fact that we have to vote to even have the idea considered is just embarrassing. The math is simple: support the current technology of M1 Macs on a reasonable timeline or I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I can’t believe they haven’t released an native M1 version of Dropbox after over a year of the SoC being released….

With the amount of money I pay annually to have my Dropbox account, this is literally a joke - right? Didn't know I was paying so much money for freeware....or at least this is what your attitude feels like. I will MORE than happy be trying other products to dump Dropbox for a company that is a little more progressive technology wise! This is pathetic!
