"Could not complete sign in. Please try again" error on Win11
Hello,
I am running windows 11, and had to update my username as windows truncated to 5 characters.
I successfully followed the following guide to update the username: https://www.elevenforum.co...

I use Chrome as default, I switched to Edge and that did the trick, was able to get the popup and logged in successfully and files syncing.

Thanks for posting on the forum today, phantomenacer!
Is there any chance you’re currently on a free Basic plan, and you’re trying to link more than 3 devices to your Dropbox account? You can also check out this page, to make sure that’s not the case.
If not, are you still getting the same error, if you install the Dropbox app via our offline installer instead?
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for replying Nancy,
I had seen your previous replies to others with the same issue and made sure that I had an open slot on the free basic plan, so that's not the issue
Secondly, I did have the software installed already, it was logging in that was causing the error. However, I did uninstall and reinstall the offline version, and I get the same error when I click "open browser" when asked to "continue to your browser to sign-in" so that's not it either.

Thanks for the update, phantomenacer.
Do you perhaps have any security programs like an antivirus, VPN, firewall, etc. that could be blocking the connection to our servers?
Can you temporarily disable them, to see if that helps?

Hi,
No such 3rd parties apps, only windows 11 defender and firewall.
Keep in mind, it was working previously until I modified the path of my data, and uninstalled and reinstalled the dropbox software to sync local with cloud.
Thank you

Hi phantomenacer, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link?
