What happens to my files when I cancel my subscription?
Hi, what will happen to my Files if I cancel my subscription? I have dropbox plus and the number of GB I keep there is more than the limit of the non-paying versions. There are also many important f...

Nothing happens to your files when your subscription expires. At most, if you're over your storage quota when your subscription expires you simply won't be able to sync your files, but they'll remain accessible through the Dropbox website. Your files are not deleted or removed from the account.
If you're no longer seeing your files, something else is the cause.

Hello,
I now have a free subscription. Over the years I have managed to expand this to 15 GB. For the coming months I need more space so I want to temporarily upgrade to 2000gb.
What happens if I downgrade to the free plan later this year. Do I keep the 15GB or do I fall back to 2GB?
Thank you in advance

In short, you'll keep your space when you downgrade.
When you upgrade, any space you've earned through referrals will be doubled. Then when you downgrade, it will be halved back to what it was. So if you have 10GB earned from referrals (20 referrals X 500MB each), that will double to 20GB (20 referrals X 1GB each). Later they will be halved back to 500MB each.
Any other bonus space will remain the same, provided it doesn't expire during this time.

Do you perhaps also know the answer to this question? A client of mine wants to work on a project in Dropbox. Now the project takes up 50gb. My dropbox is only 15gb. Do I have to upgrade my dropbox now to be able to work together?

Hi Theoneandonlyron, how are you today?
If you need to edit content using a shared folder, then yes. You'd need to have enough space in the account.
However, your client can always use a shared link to send you the content. That way you can view, and download it locally if you wish. It wouldn't take up space to your Dropbox account, unless you needed to edit it.
I hope this clarifies.
