Can’t upload PDF it says there is an issue with the name.
Hi!
Since a few days back, I get an error message when uploading a PDF. It says there might me an issue with the name. But it still happens even with the simplest of names. Tried to log out/in, reinstall the app, reboot the iPhone etc. but no luck. All help is appreciated!
Working now! Problem solved with the new update of the Dropbox app from Apple Appstore. Thanks for fixing this! Cheers!

Hi Joel Mursal, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you connected to a stable WiFi network or cellular data when uploading?
What messages do you get on your phone during the attempted upload? Are you uploading directly from the Dropbox mobile app, or via another method into your account?
Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!
- Joel MursalExplorer | Level 4Hi
Yes. I’ve tried several wifi spots at home and at work- no connection problem. Directly from my mobile app, nothing works- saveing pdf from email app, photos upload in the dropbox app, videos etc. Also some occasions it doesnt allow to view files. Not sure how i can upload a screenshot, just tried upload pdf. Also tried scan in the app- everything works until pushing upload button- the upload starts but when reaches the end- says your upload failed. Review your file and try again. The files are normal pdf- no issue with that and work fine elsewhere

Hey Joel, how are you? We're discussing this at another topic, help us there. Thanks

I have the same problem. And it's the same as described above with the pdf-files.
One question: could it be because of recent update of Apple's IOS? I have updated recently and this happend after it.

A huge problem. This needs to get fixed ASAP. I use this for my job all the time.
I am already looking for alternatives to Dropbox.
- Luciano A.1Helpful | Level 5No updates on this subject? Still can’t upload anything from my iPhone.

Hi howlman & Snsn, thanks for posting here!
Are you manually uploading the file using the + sign into your mobile app, or using a different method? If so, can you clarify the steps that you follow?
Also, could you send me a screenshot of the error you receive, in order for me to have visual too?
Thanks a bunch!
- AmineParisHelpful | Level 5Bonjour,
I have the same problem, I'm new to the forum. I took screenshots, how can I send them to you ?- MeganDropbox Staff
Hi AmineParis, welcome to our Community!
You should be able to attach your screenshot back to me, by clicking the camera-like icon. If you don't see it, try accessing the Community via a computer, and see if you can do it that way.

Since version 316.2.2 for Iphone and Ipad I keep getting the message “upload failed. Your file has not been uploaded. Please check your files and try again”. I have already logged out and also uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Without result. Cache deleted too.

Hello Walter
Thank you for your response. See 2 screenshots of the message I get. How do I upload? For example I get a pdf file in an email: i open the pdf-file. Then I choose the icon “with square and arrow”. Then I choose “save to dropbox” and I choose the correct folder in Dropbox. Then “save”. I useDropbox for many years and I never had that problem. I use de Dutch version (Belgium). Thank you Walter

Hi
I get the same issue, no regards to file-type.
- Luciano A.1Helpful | Level 5
Okay, everyone. I got help from Dropbox on Twitter, and it solved for me.
1) Delete the app from iPhone;
2) Sign off from the App Store;
3) Restart the iPhone;
4) Sing back at App Store;
5) Re-install Dropbox.
Voilá.

Okay, just noted something. After those steps, the first upload works normal, but from the second forward it replies the same failure message, but the files ends up uploaded anyway.
- One Touch E.New member | Level 2Same problem here as well! Discovered it after meticulously scanning 10 pages which then couldn’t be saved. Please fix this.

Hi Luciano A.1! I’m sorry to hear the same issue persists.
Did you also clear the Dropbox app’s cache before reinstalling/restarting your device? If not, can you please give that a try as well, and let me know how it goes?
For anyone else that has the issue, can you please try the same and keep me posted for any updates?
Thanks!

Hello Nancy
