Remote Management Access by Dropbox Inc. on my Mac laptop
I have a problem with Dropbox that is not related to my own Dropbox account.
I have a dropbox employee okla login on my laptop and cannot do anything before logging into upon start up and setting up the computer -even external drives. I need a contact at Dropbox to resolve this.
Context: I bought the laptop used on Craigslist. Apparently, it used to belong to Dropbox Inc. and brings up a remote management login window when trying to re/install the system, which only became evident when trying to upgrade OS now. I was only able to restore the laptop from a clone, but now the laptop brings up the notification "Dropbox can manage your computer".
Request: I would like to get Dropbox to either claim their computer or deactivate their security network. I would be grateful for who do contact (email/phone) for this.
Alternatively, is there something I can do? Trying to understand my options.
Thank You for your expertise and commiseration.
Hi all,
If you are seeing or experiencing issues with a remote management access by Dropbox Inc, please reach out to our support team, as we’ll need to check private information like the serial number and/or SN ID of the device.
Thank you,
Sam

I'm experiencing issues with a remote management access by Dropbox Inc. Same issue as this user.
I recently purchased a used Mac a few weeks ago. I just re-installed the OS and received this notification after the installation process. I was able to bypass the prompt to use the computer, but the prompt appears constantly. Would like to get this computer removed from the Dropbox network.
Please email me with any details you need to check and verify my computer is not on your network for remove access.
Thanks,

Hey Walter, I tried finding a way to submit a ticket but was only able to find this form. Can you reach out from your end to start the process with support. Thanks

Hey there, gelimujiao, thanks for posting here today!
When you say that the device is locked by Dropbox, would you be able to let me know more about this?
Is there any chance that you wish to remove a previous Dropbox account from the device? If you have any screenshots feel free to share them with me, just make sure none of your personal info is shown there.
Keep me posted!
