Hi,
I need to cancel my business account for our team and obtain the prorate refund of the remaining time not being used.
How do we proceed?
This is a corporate account.

I am trying to get ahold of someone in customer support at Dropbox to cancel my account. I've sent 15 inquiries from December with no response. The Live Chat just directs me to the same support pages to make more inquires. Is it possible to get ahold of someone to help me with my billing issue!??
- DaphneDropbox StaffSorry to hear about the situation Needhelptocanceldragon!
Can you let me know the ticket number (eg. #1234567) for your case with our Support team, so I can check on this from my side?
Keep me posted - thanks!- NeedhelptocanceldragonNew member | Level 2
Hi Daphne,
The ticket # is 11970487. I need to find out what billing details are on this account and CANCEL it. Customer support has not gotten back to us since December. We've reached out almost 20 times now. What do we need to do in order to get some help???

On 2/12 I upgraded my very casually used Dropbox account from free to 2TB. I was exploring the file sync option when what I thought was just a setup step (that I hoped would explain things that I do not understand) started to do things (like erase icons on my desktop). I managed to shut that down pretty quickly but so far Dropbox has
1) Broken System Restore which no longer works due to Dropbox folder conflicts
2) Broken my WKO5 app
3) Totally scrambled my desktop (completely)
4) I had to uninstall (have reinstalled but that still caused problems like HUGE CPU usage constantly) the Dropbox app
5) Sometimes files look like they are where I want them to be and sometimes they look like they are elsewhere (e.g., file open/save dialogs sometimes know where my Xfer folder is and sometimes they don't)
6) My Acronis data backup structure no longer works
And I doubt that this is the extent of the problems.
I paid for a year (2 days ago) but I am pretty much convinced right now that I do now want this thing anywhere close to my computer. Will I be able to get a refund? I paid with Paypal - I am not sure what there cancel options are here.
Thanks.

You can cancel at any time, but that just prevents your account from auto-renewing at the next billing cycle. You'll retain all of your account benefits until that time. Refunds are typically not available, except where required by law.

Thanks- what I figured (just didn't expect the issues that I ran into). This has been quite painful and is far from over. dave

Hello,
I really needed some help regarding information on refunds. I understand there is a no refund policy, but I really am desperate. I signed up for a free trial and completely forgot about it, which is my fault. But is there really no way to get a refund? I canceled my subscription immediately after seeing the charge. I will even delete my account if needed. With a company like this one, I think this policy as well as the fact there there is no number to call is absurd. If anyone has advice or answers please let me know!

I have a business account. It is for a one person business. I have closed the business email account and the dropbox password for the account does not seem to be valid, I am stuck in a loop where I cannot fix the password because Dropbox cannot send a link to the email they have on file. Is there any way to contact a live customer service person at Dropbox? I want to close the account because I have closed the business.
Thanks
B

You'll need to open a ticket. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for sign in issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.

I have been trying to cancel my subscription for 2 hours now. I am so disgusted at this point as this site, just keeps taking me in circles. I used dropbox once last year and have been being billed ever since. I just noticed it on my card. I think its misleading and fishy that I cannot even get a link to send an email for some help. I followed the directions on clicking on my plan page, but there is no option to cancel the plan. I am writing here hoping someone will notice and help me with this cancellation. Very upsetting.

To downgrade its easy - you go to www.dropbox.com/downgrade BUT that is if the account you are using is the one being billed. IF NOT you need to log in to that account first. You can see if your account that you are logged in to is a paid one at www.dropbox.com/account - if it says BASIC you are not paying.
Note: if you pay via a app store you need to cancel via them.

Hello
I have a monthly DD coming out for DropBox, which I would like to cancel but do not see any obvious way to do this or a phone number so I can speak to someone.
I can see an option to Delete Account but I also want to make sure my DD is cancelled as no longer use DropBox. Any help appreciated!

A dropbox employee told me I had to sign up for subscription so I could stop an error in my dropbox. Now I signed up on my PC and I can't cancel. All the discussion threads tell me to click in "settings" from my aviator, but their is no "settings" under the aviator or other drop boxes. This makes DROPBOX A SCAM. Easy to sign up, but after hours of work, impossible to cancel a subscription. I'm writing to the California Attorney General to investigate Dropbox...but in the meantime, does anyone know how to cancel Dropbox? they don't have live user help and their auto reply system gives bad info, and do the many community responses. I know this is happening to a lot of people. Come on attorney general....get this bad apple. And help me find the magic road to cancel my subscription that must be hidden somehwere.
- LusilDropbox StaffHey sidneyblum, thanks for reaching out to us and sorry to hear about your frustration.
If you don't see the option to cancel your subscription or contact our Support team, it sounds like you are on a Basic (free) plan.
Could you check your Plan tab online and let me know what it shows?
If you could send me a screenshot of it, that would also be super helpful.
